Episode 4: Australian Jukebox Musicals

Listen to Episode 4 by clicking here!

We decided to do an episode about Australian musicals and were pleasantly surprised to find that there are actually many many musicals written and produced in this merry old land of Oz. So many in fact, that we're going to spend the next few episodes talking about them. Episode number 4 focuses on the most well known and successful Australian musicals, which all happen to be jukebox musicals, including The Boy From Oz, Shout! The Legend of the Wild One, Dusty! The Original Pop Diva, and Priscilla, The Queen of the Desert. We also send out a Christmas message to all our fabulous listeners!

  1. Hey there Flick and Luisa, Congratulations on your podcast, I enjoyed your banter about Australian Jukebox Musicals.

You made a comment about bursting into song in shows like Mamma Mia with the perfect lyric and it made me think how often do we do that ourselves in our own lives. I maybe a music tragic but I often find myself singing a song that seems to fit the moment.

My only slight criticism of your podcast was you were quoting to many other sources, as your listener I would just prefer to hear what you have to say, perhaps with reference to others, it makes the podcast slightly too long and slows the momentum you have! Good on you! Keep up the great work!
