This week Lu interviews Australian musical theatre actor Cameron MacDonald. They discuss the critically acclaimed original musical "Life's A Circus", with music by Anthony Costanzo and book by Peter Fitzpatrick. "Life's a Circus" has twice been a finalist in the Pratt Awards, featured in OzMade Musicals, and produced by Magnormos at the Chapel Off Chapel Theatre in Melbourne. Lu and Cameron also have a look at Cameron's time aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ships as a performer, work on other original Australian musicals, and touring with the Australian casts of Mamma Mia, Altar Boyz, and Jersey Boys.
Pieces featured in this week's episode are all from the original Australian cast recording of "Life's a Circus", and include "The Prologue", "I Love This Show" and "When I Look into Your Eyes". Purchase the full album from iTunes to hear a fantastic and very beautiful new Australian work.
Many thanks to Victoria Wildie and Cameron MacDonald for making this episode possible.
